Food to Carry - Packing Light (think motorcycle)
Most of the places we stay have refrigerators, so we carry an insulated lunch box with a cold pack.
- Beef Jerky (we make our own)
- instant coffee packets (in case of emergency)
- Low carb instant shake powder
- Brazil Nuts (experiment to see which nuts treat your meter better.)
Restaurant Eating
Most restaurants have at least a few options. I've seen a couple of vegetarian restaurants that I can't find anything.
- Burgers with no bun and a side salad
- dressing options - I've found that Blue Cheese and Caesar are the lowest in carbs
- Omelettes - be careful of the fillings. Meat, cheese, veggies.
- Main dish salads. Order with no bread or croutons.
